Crown Vicroria/ Grand Marguis Intake Manifold Problem and Replacement
Posted by: | CommentsIf any of you happen to own a Crown Victoria or Grand Marguis with the 4.6 between the years of 1995 and 2000 then maybe you have noticed a small ( or in some cases very large ) coolant leak coming from the cross over pipe on the front of the intake manifold. ( Usually on the passenger side )

Well my friends dont think you are the only one out there that is having this problem. This is a very common problem with these vehicles even so much that Ford has placed a campaign or Recall on them but there is a catch.

The biggest problem besides over-heating the engine from lack of engine coolant is the fact that coolant will leak onto the coil packs and can effect the firing of the spark plugs giving you a miss fire or two with a check engine light and a bad headache.
You have to call the dealership with your VIN number to find out if you qualify for the recall and of course there is a time frame for this qualification. ( The VIN number is located on the driver door, trunk lid , door frame or the driver side of the wind shield corner )

But if your like most people, then you will have to have it done yourself and for the DIY people out there, I will give you some insight on how it is done and what to look for.
For starters find a good quality replacement intake manifold. Dorman makes a good intake that costs about $ 230.oo , and it comes with everything ( Brackets ,seals and thermostat included )
To install the new unit is pretty straight forward if you have any kind of repair knowledge but if this is your first one the you should visit this site;

There you will see a very detailed step by step guide with very good pics to help you through the process.
Well I hope this helps all you Ford guys out there and remember to use distilled water with your anti freeze mix.

For those of you out there that like to experiment with electronics or even entertain the idea of free energy or over unity, the question has been asked if a Bedini motor ( Generator ) works .

The answer for the SSG project would be Yes. I would eventually like to try some of John Bedini's larger experiments to see if you could power your house with one of these systems.
We decided to build one and try it out to see if it would work and to try to understand what was happening. So watch the video below to get a better understanding of it and how to build one.
Below is a 3d model of how it works. Hope you like it

If you have questions about the build or even want to know about other Motor/ Generators, then leave me a comment and we will try to answer it for you .
