Hi Yolanda, I would have to say that if the " Stream " is engine coolant then no dont drive your car. If it is freon then yes you can drive it but you wont have A/C. Jeff

Help! Have a 2004 pt cruiser that was not blowing cold air. I was told compresser needed replaced which the mechanic did. it still was not working correctly but I needed the car for a short trip...when he drove the car to me and left it idle for us to switch cars all of a sudden a noise came from the car, like a pop and stream came out from under the hood. Is it safe to drive? What was this? I need to use the car and cannot leave it for him to look at..it was dark. Thoughts?

Hi Mike, yes the two could be connected. If the cooling system is not working properly due to low coolant and low pressure then as soon as you put a load on the engine ( i.e. the A/C system ) then your cooling system will not be able to effectively work properly. Also compounded by the additional BTUs of heat that are being released from the condense will also cause an overheating issue with a ineffective cooling system. Jeff

Jeff, I have a couple issues that maybe interrelated hopefully you can help tell me if they are. I have a Jeep Liberty 03 Renegade. I have an issue where I am losing antifreeze from my system, I have found a small leak i my radiator so I know I will have to replace it by the way mine is a belt drive fan, the other problem is the jeep over heats but it only seems to do it when the ac is running and we are doing alot of stop and go. So could the 2 issues be related or 2 separate issue. Just for a little background the water is 6 months old 2nd in 2 yrs and I just replaced the the thermostat. Any help would be great!
               Thanks
                  Mike

Hi Ryan, check the relays for that circuit first then the next thing would be the control head. Jeff

Hi Jason, sounds like a the front system has a plugged orifice valve. Check the return lines to check if they are cold or not. Jeff
